CASE STUDY 1A manufacturer and supplier of aircraft interiors, in conjunction with a major airline, designed a mesh screen which required a sprung loaded hinge.Solution
We visited out customer on site to understand their requirements in-depth. Following this our design team worked on several concepts from which a solution was found which our customer and the airline agreed met their needs. As a result, our customer’s product is now in service and we manufacture and supply the special spring that enabled to screen to work successfully. |
CASE STUDY 2An IT and automation systems provider located in Australia required a single connector clip to replace multiple components which they were using in their products. This would reduce the BOM and assembly costs.Solution
There were many challenges in designing and producing a new product to meet the needs of our client. The product had to be able to operate in - 20 degree and + 50 degree temperatures. The correct materials had to be sourced to ensure the component could function in these environments whilst also being reliable and durable. After reviewing their needs in-depth, our experienced design team worked up a number of options for them until we found a component that fully matched their needs. Instead of using multiple components for their product we were able to design one connector clip which resulted in lower costs for our client. As there was no standard product like this on the market we were able to manufacture a bespoke item. Once the product was finalised we were able to deliver this to our client at a time that suited them, ensuring they have the component ready for their end product |
CASE STUDY 3We took a brief from a prospective client in the construction industry who needed help to stream line their installation process in order to make it quicker and to have less products involved in the process. We reviewed their current processes and our design team brainstormed how best they could replace the current system of using nuts and bolts to secure trunking in a more efficient manner.
Solution
After looking at different options, our solution was to use just one clip to replace the nuts and bolts which resulted in fewer products being needed and less time to secure the trunking. Despite being initially cautious, the clip has been a huge success and this client now orders over a million clips at a time. We are able to produce these clips in a timely manner for them and deliver at a location and time that suits them. We were also able to stamp their branding onto the clip which resulted in them being able to promote their business at the same time. |
